You can now Save & Reuse your Audio in Tuneform

To streamline the process of creating visualizers and other music videos on the site, we have added the ability to save and re-use your audio files in Tuneform. This is similar to how you can upload and re-use images across videos on the site.

The Basics:

All your saved audio files will be available in the new "My Audio" section of your account. This is where you can view all the available audio files in your account. Here you can upload new audio files, and manage how they appear across the rest of Tuneform. You are also able to re-download the files you've uploaded, or delete them entirely.

Quick access across the site:

Once you have audio files uploaded to your account, you will be able to select the files when creating audio reactive music visualizers, as well as single frame videos. When creating either one of these videos, choose the button "Select from Account" on the relevant audio inputs on the video creation page. This will bring up a list of all the available audio files in your account, and you can select your choice.

Tagging your audio for easier access and navigation

You may notice that when browsing your audio files, you have the option to tag the file with its cover or album artwork. You can assign your desired artwork to each audio file in the "My Audio" section of the site. When viewing the list of your audio files, click "Show details" to progress to your file's dedicated page. Then click the "Select Artwork" button, which will prompt you to upload a new image, or select one already saved to your account. Once you confirm your choice, the new image file will appear alongside that file everywhere throughout Tuneform.

If relevant, you can also tag your audio file with its title, artist name, and album name. If you leave all these values blank, we'll display the name of the audio file at the time of upload. Otherwise, if you fill these in, we'll show the info you specified instead.

Downloading & Deleting

After your audio file has been uploaded, you can re-download it anytime by hitting its "Show Details" button. At the bottom of the page, you'll see the option to download the file to your computer or device. Similarly, you can remove your audio file from Tuneform by hitting the trash icon under "Delete Audio" where you'll be asked for further confirmation, as this action is permanent and can't be reversed. However, this action doesn't affect any videos created using that audio file.

New Video Auto-Save

Uploading audio files through "My Audio" is not the only way to get new files into your account. When you create a new video with an audio element, (either music visualizer or single frame video), and you specify an audio file from your device, this audio file will automatically be saved to your account for re-use and tagging.

Our intention with this feature is a usability & quality of life improvement, especially for users uploading large audio files and experimenting with different styles and visual configurations. Being able to save the audio cuts down on the amount of outgoing data/bandwidth from your machine, and well as cutting down on the time you spend waiting for large files to upload, as you now only have to upload the file once.  The tagging features are built out for your convenience, making your audio files easy to access when re-using across the site, while also acting as a convenient archive for your most important creations.
